I purchased the led strip lighting for my home theater. It does not require a transformer and is designed to plug directly into a 120 v outlet. Note that it is dimmable so I have mine hooked up to a Lutron spacer system lamp dimmer SPS-300LDH-RP. This normally controls a 300 w lamp but the led strip is 240 w and works great. I have a Logitech Harmony remote to control/dim it along with the other equipment in the home theater. I would recommend this product and quick shipping and service of CBConcept
