I consider kinesio tape and what it can do a miracle! This is the best buy on the tape on Amazon ... and the adhesive seems to be better than Kinesio Gold, which I tried first. Although I did like the measuring marks on the back of the Kinesio Gold.

About 6 months ago I missed a step coming downstairs and landed on my left knee. God, the pain. Luckily I had this tape because my son recommended it and it worked well for the blown tendon/ligament in my shoulder/chest area. Anyway, I used the acu-taping method from a book on my knee and it took away the pain immediately. (This method of taping worked better than the YouTube videos because it followed the large thight muscle all the way to the groin area, which took ALL the pain away. I tried both ways, this one worked best for me.) I could walk normally and even go up and down the stairs ... where before I could barely hop to the bathroom to get the tape. It took about 3 weeks to completely heal. Much faster healing time then when I did this to my other knee when I was much younger.

The only limitation was that I could not drive, as using the clutch was very painful (different motion than walking). I tried various taping to alleviate that until I just used the tape from under the bottom of my knee and followed the pain up the inside of my thigh. Pain gone and I could drive. I have found through trial and error that I have to adjust the way I use it from the YouTube videos and books. If the pain is minimal or gone, the taping is right for me.
