We've bought a number of candle-shaped CFLs, and these may be the best. I like that you can't readily see the spirals. The light is warm--very close to the clear incandescent we had before. We replaced 5x60w incandescent in a candelabra with these, and it is effectively as bright--certainly plenty bright for our den. We bought adapters as the plug is regular, and these work fine with that.
