This is a very nice, high-quality chair. It is a "transport chair," but we used it more as a portable wheel chair. It is light weight, easily folded and placed in a trunk. The only caveat I would add is that if you plan to use it on rocks or gravel, it is a pain. Larger wheels would be much better for rocks or gravel. Luckily we only used the chair for my 15 y.o. when she had Guillan Barre (9 mos), so I was able to tilt the front wheels up and lift the handles up in the back when we had to go on gravel. The fully rotational wheels also make gravel/rock less easy to navigate.
