The width between the armrests is 16". When the chair is order with non-removable armrests, this is essentially a 16" seat width. If ordered with removable armrests, the usable seat width is 18" with the armrests removed, and 16" with the armrests intact.

Came and looks like what it shows in the photo. Seems to be very good quality, I liked finding an invacare chair at a good price since they are normally so expensive.

It does smell a little from the plastic that was on it, but it's not THAT bad where it needs a month to air out like the last person said. Barely notice the smell.
