Our lab tore an acl on his right rear leg. We opted against surgery because of the price and his age ( although we love him dearly.) I put this on him when we go out for light walks, and he actually walks better with it on than he did before. He still holds his leg up, however, when we stop. It will never cure him, but it seems to help. It took a while for him to go up the stairs, but he now realizes he has to go one step at a time.. Our vet said it may help because he had another client that it helped, so we tried it because of the price. I would definitely recommend it if surgery is not an option for you.
