Mommy/Delivery BFFLBag® Review

The bag is adorable. I love how bright and cheerful this bag is. It is also made of lightweight stain resistant fabric and has metal feet to keep the bag off the floor. This little bag will definitely be getting used again.

I am all about the axillapilla pillow! It is soft and more flexible than any other pillow I own, so that it fits under my arm when breastfeeding or in the small of my back when working through a contraction. It is probably my favorite item in the Mommy/Delivery BFFL Bag.

I was not allowed to eat or drink anything but ice chips during my labor, and as a result was starving and shaky about an hour after my delivery. The KIND Healthy Snack Bar was a nice treat to find in my BFFL Bag and it was able to tide me over until I could eat a full meal.

Something to be aware of is the fact that the Mommy/Deliver BFFL Bag comes with a dry shampoo, so if you are planning on taking a shower at the hospital and want traditional shampoo and conditioner you will need to add that to your bag. Aside from that, it has everything {socks, flip flops, pads, water bottle, brush... the list goes on}.

Having this bag took the stress of packing for the hospital. I was given a sample of this bag for the purposes of a blog review on Mom Mart, I am sharing my thoughts and opinions here as well. This is a great bag and would make a wonderful gift for any mom to be!

This is most definitely a real CHI flat iron--it was nice that it came with that bonus suitcase--there's no way someone manufacturing reproductions of the real brand would make a suitcase to give away for free with it!

I've tried several flat irons and I always go back to CHI. It gets hot and it glides through my hair. The suitcase is actually decent. A little flimsy, but I can't complain--it was free with the purchase! I do like the compact size and the spinner wheels on the suitcase.

We use these to treat pain caused by shrapnel injuries. Severe pain that is normally treated with opiods is greatly reduced by the patches. The igredients are a little "unusual" (like "crushed fossilized bone") but they work well.

A strong but not unpleasant menthol scent fades slightly as the patch is worn. These patches are very large, so I cut them into 4x6" pieces and store the unused portion in a zip-top bag until ready to use them. The adhesive is extremely strong, which is why this didn't get 5 stars. Pulling a used patch off can be extremely painful if it is placed over hair or over an existing scar.

While we have used all kinds of menthol creams, heat patches, icepacks and a variety of medical treatments (pain pills, physical therapy, surgery...) These are the most effective and least invasive treatment.

Drive Medical Silver Sport 2 Wheelchair with Various Arms Styles and Front Rigging Options, Black, 20" Review

This wheelchair was purchased to use on a temporary basis. The one I bought came with elevating footrests, which I replaced immediately by taking a pair of standard footrests off another wheelchair. It's comfortable enough and folds up very easily and nicely for transporting it, and isn't very heavy, but is still sturdy enough to hold up to a reasonable amount of abuse. There's also a pouch built into the back of the wheelchair, which has turned out to be extremely useful and handy.

Despite the granny look, up close, this wheelchair is far more stylish than it looks in the stock photos. It's easy to roll around in, and so far, after an entire month of use, the back upholstery is still 100% firm and standing, despite the fact that I've been keeping a full, stuffed heavy backpack slung over the back of the chair. You could probably hook a backpack or similar bag to the push handles, but I found that doing this meant the bag was hanging too close to the wheels.

Now that the temporary month is turning into something more like 90 days of use, I'm really glad I bought this chair, because I'm going to be using it longer than I'd first thought, while I'm waiting for my health insurance co. to approve the purchase of an expensive wheelchair. If you're a little bit disturbed at the thought of rolling around in what you might be thinking is an old folks' wheelchair, trust me when I say that this Drive Medical Silver Sport is very stylish, and you won't be embarrassed to be seen riding around with it. The "Drive" stickers on the side of the chair were easy enough to scrape off without any trouble. The word "Drive" is printed in goofy big white letters across the back of the chair, but I guess you have to live with a little advertising in exchange for a great deal on a decent wheelchair.

Also, despite the low price, the chair is very well made and high quality, and is a very recommended purchase for short-term use. If you're out on the streets every day tearing stuff up, this will be a temporary wheelchair, but if you're mostly inside the house, and calm and mellow, you might be able to get a few years of good use out of this chair.

Update: This wheelchair is excellent for handling when it comes to dealing with a change in terrain. Going from a nice smooth sidewalk down a slope to badly-poured asphalt, the chair didn't so much as let out a belch of complaint. The chair is heavy enough and sturdy enough to override sloppy construction of sidewalks and parking lots, unlike the ultralight sports wheelchair I had (the Quickie GPV), which seemed to delight in tipping forward, backwards and sideways as I crossed over every surface it didn't like. It also works well whether you're pushing yourself or someone else is pushing you in the chair.
